Copy and Paste the UUID saved from step 7 into the UUID field. Once the Beacon shows up in the list again it will be reset to factory settings and need to be reconfigured to work with Simple In/Out again.Power cycle the RadBeacon USB and press the Start Scanning button again to look for the Beacon again. You should get a message that the process completed Ok.Select radbeacon-usb-3-2-3 from the list and press OK. The app should automatically detect the Beacon in DFU mode and prompt you to change the firmware version.Press the OK button on the DFU information message.

Press the DFU button and enter the Beacon pin code (pin code is all zeros whether you need 4 or 8, it should tell you how many you need) and press OK.

Paste this value into a text file or place you can use it again for safe keeping. It is a long character string that looks similar to this (2F234454-CF6D-4A0F-ADF2-F4911BA9FFA6). Select and Copy the UUID value listed.Select the Beacon in the list (if more than 1 shows up).If it is version 3.2.3 or later, your Beacon is already up-to-date and you can skip the remaining steps. To upgrade your firmware with a Mac computer you will need the free RadBeacon for Mac app. If you do not have access to a Mac please contact us at the email above to arrange for a replacement. If you don't have access or means to check, you can contact us at upgrade your RadBeacon USB firmware you will need a Mac computer running OS X 10.10 or later. If you aren't sure, you can check your Beacons firmware. We recommend using firmware version 3.2.3 for any use with the Simple In/Out platform. If you purchased a RadBeacon USB device from Simple In/Out it is possible it has older firmware and may not work consistently with Simple In/Out.
